What Restylane Products Are Available?

Restylane
The first hyaluronic acid-based filler to be brought to market, Restylane works to increase facial volume and fullness by increasing water absorption to the skin.
Treatment Areas
This versatile injectable can address moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds from the nose to the mouth and is also indicated for injection into the lips. Off label, it proves to be the #1 choice for under eye tear troughs, providing a smooth surface and reducing the appearance of dark circles.
Duration
Treatment duration varies from patient to patient, but Restylane will generally last six months before it is metabolized and leaves the body. With continued maintenance and repeated injections at 4 ½ or 9 months after your first treatment, this HA can last up to 18 months.
Restylane Lyft
Say goodbye to diminishing cheekbones and smile lines with this crystal clear injectable HA gel filler. Restylane Lyft uses larger particle sizes and it is intended to be injected deeper within the skin to provide a stronger support for the approved treatment areas.
Treatment Areas
Indicated for both the mid-face (cheeks) and nasolabial folds (smile lines), Restylane Lyft can restore natural-looking volume and is the only FDA-approved filler to be indicated for both areas of the face.
Duration
While not lasting quite as long as its Juvéderm counterpart, Voluma – Restylane Lyft patients are seeing a consistent 6-9 month duration on average.
Restylane Silk
With a smaller particle size, this refined formulation makes it perfect for shaping the lip and for smoothing out the superficial lines around the mouth.
Treatment Areas
Restylane Silk is specifically designed for lip augmentation and addresses the aging lip that has lost definition and volume.
Duration
When injectables are placed in areas that are typically mobile, like the mouth, the duration of the product can be less than other areas of the face that do not see as much movement. Restylane Silk lasts approximately 6 months following treatment.
Restylane Refyne | Defyne
Newer to the US market, these two hyaluronic acids were designed to provide support and volume to the treated areas, but allowing for flexibility of movement to continue to show a range in facial expression. The results look soft and natural, rather than stiff and inflexible. Restylane Refyne is used to treat moderate to severe laugh lines, while Restylane Defyne is typically used for deeper folds from the nose to the marionette lines in the corners of the mouth.
Duration
Patients can expect to see a result that will last approximately one year; however, the placement and quantity of these hyaluronic acids can directly affect the duration. It is always recommended to plan to be seen once per year to reevaluate your progress and refresh your results.
Restylane Kysse
Made with an incredible technology called XpresHAn, Restylane Kysse allows for its hyaluronic acid gel to seamlessly fill the lips and enable the filler to move within the lips as they move. This feature eliminates the heavy feeling of a filler while simultaneously preventing it from looking unnatural after injection, creating pillowy, softer lips that move naturally when smiling, talking and even kissing.
Treatment Areas
Restylane Kysse, specific to the lips, creates lip volume and improves the lines above the mouth, using a smaller amount of the product but achieving a fuller outcome.
Duration
Studies have shown that Restylane Kysse treatments are lasting close to 1 year as a result of the way the HA in this product binds to the lips. Maintenance treatments can be scheduled as needed to restore volume and smooth lip lines.
